Specialist Interest in Regional Anaesthesia and Nerve Blocks
Dr Sanjeevan Shanmuganathan is a consultant in anaesthetics and acute pain at the Royal National Orthopaedic hospital in Stanmore. His main interest is the delivery and teaching of ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia (USGRA) and has undertaken fellowship training in Nottingham. He commonly uses UGSRA in foot and ankle surgery to help provide immediate postoperative pain relief, but also as an anaesthetic technique for awake surgery where appropriate.
